BCmaterials partner in the international consortium of H2020 project Multi-fun: Enabling MULTI-FUNctional performance through multi-material additive manufacturing.

BCMaterials is participating in the ambitious project H2020 MULTI-FUN. This breakthrough project will leverage nanotechnologies to improve heat transfer rates, higher complexity of internal design and inclusion of sensing and data transfer capabilities for condition and structural health monitoring and process control. http://www.multi-fun.eu/

Killing cancer without toxic drugs

A publication from Prof. Stefan Wuttke in Mapping Ignorance blog about how Nanotechnology enables the creation of delivery vehicles able to overcome physiological barriers, allowing new approaches for reducing unwanted side effects of systemic delivery, increasing targeting efficiency and improving chemotherapy efficacy. https://mappingignorance.org/2020/09/02/killing-cancer-without-toxic-drugs/

2020 Call for PhD Fellowships and Master Scholarships open

BCMaterials offers PhD Fellowships to perform research in areas as diverse and challenging as materials for sensors and actuators, which are critical for the internet of Things and Industry 4.0; materials for advanced biological and biomedical applications; materials for energy (both generation and storage) or materials for environmental monitoring and remediation Read more about them at https://www.bcmaterials.net/training/phd-program/ Also, BCMaterials offers master projects to master students in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, M

BCMaterials at the HERCULES European School

Ainara Valverde attended last month the HERCULES European School, a 5 week course with 100 hours of lectures and 18 hours of tutorials. This 1-month school, established in 1991, provides training for students, postdoctoral and senior scientists from European and non-European universities and laboratories, in the field of Neutron and Synchrotron Radiation for condensed matter studies (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Geosciences, Industrial applications). What is more, she won the BEST POSTER AWARD during the poster session with the poster “Metal Organic Framework advanced adsorb
