Itziar Oyarzabal, recognised among Ikerbasque's outstanding scientists
Itziar Oyarzabal, BCMaterials scientist, has been one of the researchers recognised by Ikerbasque - Basque Foundation for Science in its annual awards for outstanding scientists. Oyarzabal, Ikerbasque Research Fellow at our centre, has received a special mention along with four other young researchers: Ana Beloqui Elizazu, Amaia Arranz Mendiguren, Jone Mitxelena Sánchez and Marina Kalashikova.
Ikerbasque presented these five special mentions at an event held on 20 November in Bilbao, where three established researchers were also awarded: Carmen González Murua, professor of Plant Physiology at the UPV/EHU; Amaia Cipitria Sagardia, Ikerbasque Research Professor at BioGipuzkoa and Amaia Arranz Otaegui, Ikerbasque Research Associate at UPV/EHU.
At BCMaterials we would like to congratulate Itziar Oyarzabal. We are pleased that her excellent work has been recognised with such an important award.
