Qi Zhang Appointed Visiting Professor at NUAA (China)

Our Ikerbasque Research Professor, Qi Zhang, was appointed visiting professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) this April. Zhang, who has an extensive research career in the field of functional materials for energy, received this important recognition during a visit by BCMaterials representatives to the university, with whom we maintain a significant research collaboration agreement.
Zhang's appointment as visiting professor was one of the main highlights of BCMaterials' visits to several Chinese academic and research institutions, including Wuhan University of Technology. There, our Scientific Director, Senentxu Lanceros-Méndez, gave several talks and lectures, such as "Magnetically Responsive Materials and Membrane Technologies for Energy and Environmental Remediation" and "Approaches for Sustainable Digitalization." BCMaterials representatives also met with university teams to explore future areas of collaboration.
The visit to China was completed with a visit to the companies Smooth Way (battery electrolytes) and E-ontech Battery Materials (battery anode materials), as well as to the School of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology at Xidian University, Xi'an, where different avenues of collaboration were explored.
