On April 25, BCMaterials will receive Dr. Joel Villatoro as a new invited speaker with the talk entitled “"All-Optical Fiber Sensing". The talk will start at 10:00 at the Martina Casiano auditorium (UVP/EHU Campus, Leioa).

BCMaterials will offer a new invited talk on April 22 with Francisco Fernandes, Associate Professor of the Condensed-Matter Chemistry Lab at the Sorbonne University (France)

The talk will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Martina Casiano auditorium. The title will be “Directional freezing of biological matter: implications in biofabrication and cryobiology”.

BCMaterials, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology of the university of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), organizes the 44th Meeting of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) Specialized Group in Electrochemistry. The event, under the acronym 44GERSEQ, will take place from July 3 to 5 at the Faculty of Science and Technology, located on the Leioa Campus of the UPV/EHU.

BCMaterials will offer a new invited talk on March 26 with Santiago Rodríguez Jiménez, postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).

On Thursday, February 22, starting at 12:00, the auditorium of the Martina Casiano building (BCMaterials headquarters, Leioa) will be the scene of a new invited talk at our center.

BCMaterials will offer a new invited talk on February 16, by Vladimir Golub, head of the department of Magnetodynamic Properties of Condensed Matter at the Institute of Magnetism of Ukraine (NASU).

Next December 4 (Monday), BCMaterials will host a new guest talk. On this occasion, our invited  speaker will be Hiroshi Imahori, full professor of the Graduate School of Engineering and the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences at Kyoto University (Japan).

The prestigious professor Imahori will focus in his talk on solutions to the problems for the long-term use of MEMS accelerometers that use gold components, derived from the low mechanical resistance of this metal.

On October 26, more than one hundred researchers gathered at the BCMaterials headquarters to attend a new edition of our annual workshop 'New Materials for a Better Life!'. The event was dedicated on this occasion to computational approaches, tools and strategies for the development of advanced materials. The program featured prominent Basque and international experts in advanced and quantum computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The 2023 edition of the annual BCMaterials workshop ‘New Materials for a Better life!” will take place on October 26. This event will bring together renowned national and international experts in advanced computing, quantum computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence to present and debate the role of these tools in the understanding, design and application of advanced materials.

On September 25 and 26, BCMaterials organized PrintFun! – Autumn School on Functional Printing Materials and Technologies. Students from different universities, technology and research centers gathered at our headquarters to begin, complete and/or perfect their skills in different functional printing techniques.
